Question

I came home from work today to find a little "Save Girlhood" booklet on the counter. It's pretty cute...has a lot of the same information as the www.savegirlhood.com website that was posted yesterday, and then it also has stickers on the insides of both covers with little messages like "Save rainbows" and "Save playing house." There's also a tear-out page with the free book offer, which it does say is only open to Washington and Georgia residents.

The funny part? I assumed the booklet had come in the mail and was being sent to people on AG's mailing list, but then I noticed there was no address label on it. Turns out it had been included in this morning's copy of the Seattle Times. Anyone else in the Seattle area get one of these? How about Georgia?

I already signed up for the book...I thought it would be cute to include in a "care package" that I want to put together for a special little AG fan (more on that in another thread, another day). There as also an optional survey to fill out asking who I buy AG for, and how many historical dolls, AGOTs, articles of clothing, pieces of furniture, etc. she has. Which makes me wonder...is Save Girlhood a marketing campaign on AG's part, or is it another organization that AG has partnered with? Being limited to only Washington/Georgia residents, it kind of makes me think the latter, but does anyone else have any ideas?

Editing to add: Did anyone OUTSIDE of Washington or Georgia get one of these, just without the free book offer? It's all very curious...

I got one of these in the Seattle P-I as well, and I've already ordered the free book.
I think it's been discussed on here before, and somebody thought that the reason it's only in WA and GA is because only the state governments of those states were subsidizing the program or something like that. Who knows? But i'm enjoying it!
